We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager to join our Clinical Development team as a Clinical Administration Manager (CAM) on a job share basis, over 3 days a week. The role is responsible for the day-to-day management of Blue Cross’s contracted veterinary services, including our five Pet Care Clinic’s and Emergency Care Fund and registering our hospital clients and is supported by our Clinical Development administrators. You’ll oversee a busy helpdesk providing support to our veterinary partners, clinic and hospital clients via email and phone, ensuring we meet our SLAs and KPIs.
The successful candidate will have strong organisational, management and administrative skills and experience of line management. You need to be able to develop solid relationships with both external and internal stakeholders, oversee financial expenditure and income and ensure payments to our veterinary partners are processed on time and within budget. You’ll also be coaching, training, and developing our team of administrators.
This is a part-time job share role of 21 hours per week over three days. Due to the nature of the work of Blue Cross, and this post, it may be necessary to exceed these hours when the workload demands.
Following the COVID-19 situation, our teams are returning to the office in September, where we are trialling a hybrid model of a mixture of office and home based.
What is required?
We are looking for people with the following:
• Excellent organisational, management and administrative skills
• Previous line management experience
• Proven track record of prioritising and organising work and projects
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• The ability to work proactively, without supervision and independently
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• IT literate with MS Office and web-based databases and platforms
