Clinical Nurse Manager – Ayr Vets4Pets, Ayrshire

We have a brand new and exciting vacancy at our Ayr practice based in South Ayrshire. We are looking for an experienced nurse who is ready to climb the ladder or a nurse who is already managing people to join our team as Clinical Nurse Manager.

Who are we?
We are three individually owned practices run by Vet, Nurse and Practice Manager Partners. This allows us to have an advocate for each area of the business who fully understand you. Our team is made up of 54 colleagues who have excellent relationships inside and outside of work. We have a wealth of experience throughout our clinical and non-clinical teams which helps us create a really supportive environment with lots of room to progress.

Why work with us?
Our nurses are at the heart of what we do and we strongly believe in expanding their skills through development. We have nurses trained in acupuncture, pain management, behaviour and schedule 3 surgical procedures. Our nursing team are very much able to do what they do best within our practices whether that is building client relationships through clinics, monitoring anaesthetics or having the time to give first class patient care to their in-patients.
Our practices are well established and we are still growing. Our businesses are thriving which allows us to create a wonderful working environment for our colleagues. It allows us to offer new opportunities for our team, opens avenues for progression, allows us to provide excellent benefits, buy the most up to date tools and equipment, invest in professional development and generally treat our people as they deserve to be treated. This is reflected in our team with many of them having celebrated decades with our businesses. We believe in balance between work and life and have implemented many changes over the years through feedback from our team which is so important to us. We close on Sunday’s and many bank holidays, finish at 6.30pm, close for lunch and have flexible rotas. We organise team nights out all expenses paid, wellness days, team lunches and generally look for opportunities to treat our team well.

A word from our team
“I have been at Vets4pets for almost 5 years.  I returned to veterinary nursing after a career break and was fortunate enough to work at a practice that gives you all the support, training and patience, you feel you need to assist you in your role.  Managers are always keen to hear any new ideas, improvements you want to put forward and to discuss your personal continuous professional development.  The Nursing team is made-up from a variety of backgrounds and experience and someone normally has knowledge of an area if you are ever stuck which is always reassuring to know.

I love that everyone works to deliver the best service to our clients and pets.  We are a sociable bunch and get together whenever we can to relax and celebrate.   We all appreciate that the role can be pressured at times  and aim to add a bit of fun to the day where we can.  I work part-time and appreciate the flexibility it gives me in managing my work-life balance.”
