The role will involve the following duties:
- Daily clinical RVN duties
- Working with the Head RVN to provide performance reviews (PDRs)
- Training and co-ordination for the nursing and ACA teams
- Assisting with the hiring process of RVNs, SVNs and ACAs
- Assist with induction, training, support, management and development of new staff members within the RVN, SVN and ACA teams
- Working with the management team to develop and implement SOPs and oversee clinical audits
- Work with the clinical team to ensure SOPs are being adhered to
- Supervise and monitor the quality of patient and client care provided by the nursing teams whilst setting a good example of work ethic and clinical knowledge
- Assist the Head RVN and Management Team in ensuring good, open lines of communication are implemented between all team members
- Assist with ordering and stock control
- Assist with rota management of the day staff to include holiday cover and sickness cover planning
- Any other relevant duties as required
Ideally you will have 4 years of experience as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in a clinical setting with excellent communication skills and good clinical knowledge at a hospital level. You must be proactive and motivated to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and create a good workplace environment. You should be able to think critically and make quick decisions to ensure that the workplace remains safe and efficient, with good organisational skills and a keen eye for detail. Above all, you should have a passion for delivering the best possible patient care and customer service.
