The Role

We have a rarely available position available for a Head Client Care Assistant to join our fantastic team in Medivet Hampstead. We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual with a passion for customer service and exemplary management and communication skills. This position would suit a veterinary receptionist or nurse looking to take the next step in their career.

Medivet Hampstead is a very well-established branch in the beautiful area of Hampstead Garden Suburb. The practice is led by Branch Partners, Jeremy and Sarah. Our nursing team compromises of a Head Nurse, Anna, who oversees two Student Nurses and a Patient Care Assistant. You will work alongside our Head Nurse to ensure the smooth running of the practice on a daily basis.

The successful candidate will oversee and lead a small team of two friendly Client Care Assistants, responsible for training and leading by example. You will work closely with the whole team to provide a gold standard service to our clients and patients.

Part time or full time options to be discussed upon application.

Key Accountabilities

•Overseeing and training the team of CCA’s
•Welcoming and assisting clients into the practice
•Dealing with a busy switchboard and arranging call backs
•Scheduling appointments
•Dealing with insurance claims/debt
•Updating client files
•Taking payments and completing cash ups and banking
•Ensuring the consult rooms and pet boutique are fully stocked
•Ensuring the reception area is maintained to a high standard

Skills and Experience

•Previous experience working in a veterinary environment
•Previous experience working in a leadership role
•Exceptional customer service with a helpful, empathetic approach
•A passion for animals and their well being
•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
•Multi-tasker who is able to remain calm under pressure
•Ability to prioritise a busy workload whilst maintaining a friendly and welcoming disposition.
