Head of HR – CVS, Norfolk

We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as Head of HR, where you will be responsible for  leading and developing a HR Team based both centrally in our Head Office in Diss, Norfolk and in regional roles across the UK, Ireland and Netherlands. Reporting into our Director of People, your role will have an interesting blend of operational, project and strategic responsibilities, all with the aim of supporting our 6500+ CVS employees, who work across 500+ sites in the UK, Netherlands and Ireland.

In the role, some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing the HR Team to provide high quality business partnering and support across the entire employee life-cycle
  • Leading on people related projects, such as systems development, process improvement and wellbeing initiatives
  • Playing a key role in the measurement, design and implementation of employee engagement and related initiatives
  • Supporting your team and senior business stakeholders in technical HR matters, such as complex ER cases
  • Providing expertise and guidance in the development of talent management across CVS
  • Leading and/or supporting key D&I initiatives and their success
  • Identifying opportunities and solutions to ensure the continuous development and improvement of all people related services

To be successful in the role, you will be/ will be able to demonstrate:

  • MCIPD/FCIPD or equivalent
  • A hands on approach with experience of effectively leading and implementing change
  • A proven track record in the effective management of a diverse and distributed team
  • The ability to build effective and successful working relationships with key stakeholders, senior management teams and third party suppliers
  • Proven experience in designing/implementing/supporting talent and reward management
  • Evidence of establishing credibility with senior staff and engaging with multiple stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide solutions as required to deliver strategic aims
  • An excellent understanding of HR best practices and employment law
