This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the development of the BSAVA’s partnership and event strategy within the veterinary sector. Responsible for developing the Association wide partnership programme, establishing new relationships and maximising existing ones.
The Head of Partnerships and Events will work closely with the wider leadership team and volunteers to develop and deliver integrated strategies for the Association, to meet the needs of our members and stakeholders.
Skills and Experience
The postholder will need excellent team leadership and management skills, project management and organisational skills (including financial management), proven success in business development and the ability to create strong networks within the sector. They will have excellent oral, written and digital communication skills.
The successful candidate will have experience of strategy development including a good understanding of the role of events within the association’s strategic offering. They will demonstrate an ability to develop and set direction through understanding the internal and external landscapes.
Experience within the veterinary sector or life sciences is desirable but not essential.
The right person will be able to work under their own initiative and meet deadlines. They will also have an ability to collaborate with the staff of the Association, its volunteer committees and external organisations.
It is essential this individual is able to work a pace, building credible relationships and influence stakeholders at a senior level within both the Association and the profession.
Salary & Benefits
The salary range for this role is £50,000-55,000 commensurate with experience. 7% contributions towards Group Personal Pension, Life Assurance and Private Medical Insurance, 23 days holiday.
