Head Registered Veterinary Nurse – Medivet Wexham, Slough, Berkshire

We are seeking a Head Veterinary Nurse to join our practice in Wexham, Buckinghamshire.

Our team are active in the local community and require a confident and motivated RVN to continue building strong client relationships. The role would someone who is looking to put down roots, make the role their own while sharing expertise and supporting the SVN’s in branch.

Salary and hours: 

This role offers an RVN salary of £27,573 – £32,615 per annum depending on experience plus £300 CPD allowance with 2-days CPD leave and in-house CPD available, RCVS and VDS fees, 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays.

Hours are 40 per week – 1:4 weekends and a fair share of bank holiday cover with time off in lieu and minimal on call duties over the year, approx. 3 weeks to support our dedicated night team if required, enabling the development of your ECC skills and experience.

The Branch

Medivet Wexham is a sole vet practice with potential to become a 1.5 Vet practice in the future. Mobile and Graduate Veterinary Surgeons also visit this clinic.

The nursing and support team is made up of a HRVN (that’s you!) SVN and Practice Coordinator/SVN.

This small, friendly practice is equipped with a large waiting area and prep room, theatre, dental equipment, in-house lab, separate cat and dog wards; you’ll also have access to MRI, CT Imaging, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, ECG at our Watford 24-hr hospital.

Not familiar with the area? Medivet Wexham neighbours the beautiful Langley Park and is near a number of historic British tourist attractions including Windsor Castle. Wexham sits just an hour away from London and is short 15-20-minute journey to Heathrow Airport.
