Operations Manager – Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists, Ringwood, Hampshire

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Operations Manager to join our busy referrals hospital. The role will involve working closely with the Senior Management Team (SMT), helping to deliver organisational and operational objectives of SCVS. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the line management of the Referrals, Reception, and Client Services teams.

Other responsibilities will include facilitating organisational and operational function of the hospital, maintaining key performance targets of the Hospital, and ensuring that Health and Safety Requirements are met and maintained. The Operations Manager will also help to foster excellent communication and working relationships with the clinical teams. They will be required to deputise for the Hospital Manager during times of absence to ensure the smooth running of the practice.

Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists is a busy multi-disciplinary referral centre and approved training centre by the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging. We are committed to providing a high standard of patient care, with state-of-the-art equipment and specialist services in anaesthesia and analgesia, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, neurology, cardiology, dermatology, medicine, oncology and diagnostic imaging. We are currently undergoing extensive expansion and improvement of the facilities.

The practice is located in the South of England close to the New Forest National Park and South Coast offering easy access to a multitude of outdoor activities. Bournemouth beach has just been voted number one beach in the UK by TripAdvisor and is a 20-minute drive from the practice. The area offers good access to regional and international airports and has excellent road and rail links to London.

Applicant Requirements

Our main requirements would be:

. It is essential that the candidate have previous experience of working within a customer service environment.

. We are also looking for someone with 2 years+ line management experience within a large organisation advantageous.
. Clinical experience/knowledge is preferred
. A background working in a similar role and/or the veterinary industry is advantageous.
