Operations Support Manager – CVS Business Operations, South of England

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a veterinary nurse wanting to develop themselves & take the next step in their career. This unique role as an Operations support manager will be joining our business operations team covering the S3 and S6 Regions (Essex, Kent, Suffolk, Norfolk, East and West Sussex) on a Full time permanent contract. The role has a strong people and clinical focus with a diverse and satisfying workload, with a need for excellent coaching, communication, organisational and motivational skills.

Within this role, you will have the full support of your Regional director, Hub clinical lead’s and other OSM’s across the south hub and be responsible for providing leadership and management support for both clinical and non-clinical staff.  You will coach and support the practice teams to provide outstanding clinical care, client care, assist with developing teams, improving processes and encouraging nurse utilisation.

Key Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

  • Motivate and influence practice teams using coaching, effective communication, prioritisation and planning skills ensuring the consistent delivery of CVS policies and procedures; in particular clinical governance and the RCVS Code of Professional Conduct.
  • To understand and implement the current Health and Safety and COSHH regulations, making sure these are adhered to, Practices are compliant with staff trained and signed off on CVS Health and Safety procedures
  • Proactively take action to ensure the debt position within the Practices is fully controlled and Debt Recovery Protocols are being followed in order to achieve target
  • Coach and role model excellent client services, making sure all the practice teams know the importance of delivering “excellence every day” and the consequence if this is not done
  • Ensure protocols are in place to ensure that all client concerns are addressed in a fair and timely manner
  • Know and understand the competition to ensure we attract and retain key people and actively talent spotting both internally and externally for key roles, keeping recruitment costs to a minimum
