Practice Administrator – Vets4Pets, Tunbridge Wells, Kent /Hove, Sussex

We are looking for someone ideally experienced in insurance administration or who has a background managing accounts. Your main role is to ensure all surgery debtors are chased weekly, to manage banking and to process referral invoices. We are open to you being based at our Tunbridge Wells or Hove practice sites.

Part-time: 25 hours per week

Key responsibilities

Chase all insurances, cash debtors, direct credits, charity accounts and referral invoices with clients
Know debtor process
Be able to refer clients to debt collectors after 90 days
Comply with health and safety regulations and local policy within the surgery
Working with other members of the of the team to ensure that the reception and other areas of the practice are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and are presentable at all times
Bereavement handling – to offer physical and emotional assistance to clients in sensitive situations
Adhere to, and are able to locate, all company and local policies and procedures
Provide weekly/monthly updates to management team
We are ideally looking for someone to join the team 25 hours a week, and are flexible with the working rota, taking into account any childcare/out of work responsibilities you may have.

The attributes required

You will have proven experience in a customer facing role and be able to provide a high quality service. You will be able to recognise internal and external clients and respond to their requests promptly. You have a strong administration background OR you have a high level of experience of working within a veterinary practice.

You will be able to work well with others and be an effective team player. You will cooperate to meet team goals and recognise the need for flexibility. You will have strong communication skills and anticipate barriers to communication and take the relevant steps to improve.

You will be motivated to achieve personal development goals and will work to continuously improve. You will be confident and be able to address problems as they arise. You will have effecting planning and organisation skills and use time and resources effectively to make decisions.
