The role involves balancing your time between the two clinics to be able to provide effective leadership and mentoring support to the team. Working with the Clinical Directors to advance the practice to achieve growth for Abbey Vets and maintain a happy team. Managing a team of 13, it is important in this role to promote the importance of open and honest communication through supportive coaching, while also having some fun with your colleagues along the way.
Main responsibilities include:
• Ensuring all members of staff are up to date on training and meeting daily/weekly/monthly objectives
• Hold team meetings and one-to-one meetings
• Meet with Clinical Directors to assess business performance and plan strategically for the future
• Rota management for the vets, nurses, and support staff
• Debt management
• Recruitment of vets, nurses, and support staff where necessary
Salary and Rota
5 days per week, Monday to Friday
8:30 – 5:30 Monday to Friday
No weekends/no OOHs
Salary of up to £35,000 depending on experience.
Our practice is located in Angus, close to all larger cities and a good place to get out exploring in nature. Our clinics are located 25 minutes away from each other. Our practice is kitted out with all the usual facilities, which allow us to be able to give our patients and clients excellent care. We pride ourselves on being a flexible clinic for our staff, to ensure that everyone can get the time off they deserve.
About the Team and Culture
4 vets, 4 RVNs, 1 SVN, 1 ACA, 4 receptionists, 1 administrator. We are a team that like to support each other in our roles to ensure everyone’s day runs as smoothly as possible. Our new Practice Manager will be there to ensure they can motivate and inspire the team to continue to be great.
The candidate will preferably have worked in a managerial role previously. A qualification relating to business management will be advantageous.
We are looking for a positive, motivated person with a can-do attitude. Someone who is computer literate and likes to problem-solve.
Driving license is required as the candidate will work between both clinics.
