Practice Manager – Andale Veterinary Centre, Widnes, Cheshire

Andale Veterinary Centre are looking for a dedicated candidate to join their team as Practice Manager.

This role is extremely varied, and you will rarely have two days the same. We have a lead vet onsite to support you in your role and work alongside you and you will receive wider support from the Area Support Manager and Area Director.

Responsibilities include recruitment for the practice, budgeting, human resources, debt management, health and safety, rota and diary management, payroll and learning and development.

This is a full-time position, working 40 hrs per week over 5 days. There is no weekend or OOH work and we do not open on bank holidays.

The salary for this role is up to £32,000 depending on experience.

About Us

Andale is a single-site, purpose-built, small animal practice with an established client base and a supportive and friendly team. We have off-road parking and two operating theatres, an in-house laboratory, tonometry and a multi-parameter. We have separate dog and cat wards, and an imaging room including digital x-ray and ultrasound. We are an RCVS-accredited training practice and RCVS General Practice accredited. Andale is situated minutes away from Liverpool and Cheshire with easy access to North Wales.

About the Team and Culture

Our close-knit team is made up of 6 Veterinary Surgeons, 8 Registered Veterinary Nurses, and a team of 6 Receptionists. We provide a high standard of care, and we value and encourage professional growth for all our staff. We encourage staff discussion and input through monthly meetings and regular appraisals. We also have regular nights out and chippy Fridays along with a half-day shopping at Christmas.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for a manager who has experience running a busy practice, ideally within the veterinary industry or similar. We need an organised individual that has excellent attention to detail, communication and people skills. HR knowledge and experience are preferred.
