Practice Manager – Animal Care Hospital, Cork, Munster, Ireland

Animal Care Hospital Douglas Vets in Cork is looking for a Practice Manager to help lead our team. The role involves working with the Clinical Director to ensure a smooth running of the practice.

Day to day tasks include the banking, debt management, time sheets/payroll, sending out bills, and overseeing the maintenance of the practice building and the equipment. Additionally, it will involve managing employee and client relations, dealing with complaints, HR support, and liaising with Head Office and the Business Support Manager.

The rota is usually Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, however occasional Saturday cover may be necessary in case of reception absence.

The salary is up to €40,000 dependent on experience.

The practice has expanded from a one vet practice with one nurse to a caring practice with 4 vets, 3 veterinary nurses and a receptionist, who are all dedicated to providing both you and your pet with the highest quality care. All our staff regularly attend continuing professional development courses to ensure we are up to date with the latest in veterinary medicine and surgery.

Applicant Requirements

Our preferred candidate will demonstrate previous business or practice management experience. Relevant qualifications in these areas will be an advantage along with excellent IT, communication, and interpersonal skills. HR/line management experience would be desirable.
