Practice Manager – Hay Vets, Hay on Wye, Herefordshire

Here at Hay vets, we have an excellent opportunity for a Practice Manager to join our team.

The day to day duties would see the successful candidate overseeing the general running and future development of the practice, to work in tandem with the Clinical Directors, Area Director and the Area Support Manager.

The rota will include working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday from 08:30am– 17:30pm however flexible working will be considered.

The salary will be from £35,000 up to £40,000 depending on experience.

ABOUT US

We are a two site well equipped family run rural mixed practice, mainly looking after small animals and a significant large and equine client base. Our practices are located in the beautiful Welsh borders close to the Brecon Beacons and the Wye Valley, both being on our doorstep. Hay is a vibrant thriving market town with a rich cultural life with summer and winter festival experiences, and a local independent cinema.

We live and breathe by our unique team approach and value our team’s input and well-being. Currently, we have 7 Veterinary surgeons, 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Trainee Veterinary Nurse and a supportive reception team whom all love to share in regular cake eating sessions.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

Our ideal candidate would be a confident Practice Manager who has experience within the veterinary business, however, we will consider exceptional candidates with demonstratable skills in people management, customer and client care, debt management, payroll, HR, and managing budgets.

You must bring excellent communication and IT skills and be committed to this role and to the team, as well-being is important to the Hay family. The new Practice Manager must be confident in managing upwards as well as the Practice team.
