Practice Manager – Lynton House Vets, Woking, Surrey

Lynton Veterinary Group are excited to say, due to a promotion, that they are looking for a Practice Manager to join the team!

The role will involve reporting to the Clinical Director and Business Support Manager for operational, financial and employee matters. The successful candidate be responsible for the day-to-day management of the practice, the development, and expansion of the business, promoting improvements and actively working towards achieving practice standards, and being an active member of the Management Team. This is a varied role and will involve working with internal stakeholders in HR, recruitment, marketing and payroll. The role will also involve budgeting, debt management, appraisals and overall coordination of our 3 sites.

The role will involve working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with no out of hours.

Salary: The salary for the role is up to £35,000 per annum depending on experience.

We are a long-established, Small Animal Veterinary Group based in Woking, Bagshot, and Addlestone. As a progressive practice, we recently relocated to our brand new, purpose-built practice, and continue to invest to refurbish and equip our other 2 practices to the same high standard. We also have a purpose-built grooming salon at our main site. As a practice we endeavor to set high standards and keep up with new developments to give the best possible patient care and excellent service to our clients, with this in mind we have also achieved our Silver Cat-Friendly status at our main branch.

About the Team and Culture

Our 7 Veterinary Surgeons are supported by a great team of 10 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses, and experienced Receptionists across the Group. In this role, you will be supported by the Clinical Director, Nurse Manager, and the Marketing & Admin Manager. We have a family-like culture in practice and have embedded true support and encourage ethos amongst the team. Each practice has an essential SOS chocolate station and we are never short of cake with some excellent bakers across the group! the mental and physical well-being of the team is paramount to us – we like to show our support both in-house and externally by taking part in charity events such as “Ride for Dementia” and “Relay for Life” in aid of cancer research.

Applicant Requirements 

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, friendly, and have strong leadership skills with a willingness to support all staff. You will enjoy a challenge and be able to deal with difficult scenarios in a pragmatic way. A passion for managing people is a huge element of this role. We are looking for candidates with previous experience of knowledge in HR, payroll, IT, and change management. Ideally, you will have 2 years+ experience in a management role.
