Practice Manager – Norwood Road Vet Practice, Herne Hill, South London

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Practice Manager to join our team at Norwood Road Vets. This is a Full or Part Time role. Typically, the Full Time role is working 40 hours per week over 5 days between the hours of 8am – 7pm (Monday – Friday). We are flexible and therefore happy to discuss working hours that would suit you. No weekends or OOH.

The Practice Manager will be involved in recruitment, budgeting, human resources, health and safety, rota management, payroll and learning and development. This role is extremely varied, and you will rarely have two days the same. You will work closely with the Clinical Director and receive wider support from the Area Support Manager and Area Director to ensure the practice is running smoothly.

Salary

The salary for this role is up to £35,000 depending on experience.

We have been established for 21 years with a loyal client base and we are seen as part of the community with an excellent reputation. The surgery is in an ideal location, situated between Croydon and London, next to Brockwell Park with access to great transport links.

We are a busy, 100% small animal focused practice dealing with a wide range of routine and challenging cases. Our success and growth are achieved by looking after our clients, their pets and supporting our colleagues. We also support the IVC Graduate programmes as well as being an RVN training practice.

The surgery houses all the usual equipment. Our digital x-ray (including dental) and ultrasound are all Dicom enabled and linked into our Consulting rooms. We have in house blood machines, multi parameter monitoring equipment, and more. We also have dedicated surgical, dental, and imaging areas plus separate cat and dog wards and consulting rooms.

We are a Registered Training Practice, and we fully support our nurses in completing certificates to further their knowledge and development which is further supported by our dedicated learning and development platforms and networking.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for a manager who has experience of running a busy workplace or practice, ideally within the veterinary industry or similar. We need an organised individual that has excellent attention to detail, communication and people skills. HR knowledge and experience is preferred.
