Practice Manager – Orwell Veterinary Group, Grange Farm Vet Hospital, Kesgrave, Ipswich

Here at Orwell Veterinary Group we are looking for a Practice Manager to join the team. This role will involve supporting the Clinical Directors in the management of the practice and the development of the business, as well as being an active member of the management team.

Orwell Vets is a very forward-thinking practice that prides itself in delivering gold standard veterinary care to its patients. The main responsibilities of this role would be to ensure that the practice runs effectively at all times through clear communication, leadership, and management, as well as supporting the team in driving the business forward.

The role is full-time (40 hours per week) and it is possible to discuss with individual candidates how they would like to spread their time during the week. The practice can be flexible on how many days are worked. There will be no weekend or out-of-hours work.

The salary for this role will be up to £35,000 depending on experience.

About Us

Orwell Veterinary Group is a practice comprising of an RCVS tier 3 small animal hospital, that is supported by two smaller branch surgeries. We are incredibly fortunate to have a purpose-built hospital with equipment to allow us to provide a wide range of services to our clients.
Orwell Vets is located in Ipswich, a lovely town in Suffolk within close proximity to the beautiful Suffolk coast and also London, Norwich and Cambridge.

We currently have 9 Veterinary Surgeons, 11 Registered Veterinary Nurses/Animal Care Assistants and 11 Reception Team Members, and 3 Support Staff. Our Vets and Nurses are encouraged to complete certificates, and we have two certificate holders in the practice.
Orwell Vets enjoys getting involved in community events and we regularly host the Dog Show at the local Fun day.

Applicant Requirements

The ideal candidate will have an interest in HR-related responsibilities and would have an understanding of the veterinary profession.
