Practice Manager (p/t) – Beech House Vets, Hampshire

We are looking for a fixed term, part time Practice Manager to cover Maternity leave to join our fast paced, first opinion small animal practice here at Beech House Veterinary Centre. The practice manager will work alongside the Clinical Director and another Practice Manager to help the practice run effectively and smoothly. As a practice manager you will have responsibility for the day-to-day operation of non-clinical aspects of the practice. Including: ensuring practice standards are maintained, supplying regular data to head office, finance, payroll, HR, banking, reports, marketing, Debt management, and more. You will provide support to staff with all aspects of HR. This role is 22 hours (or less) per week with flexibility in the rota.

Based in Bitterne, Southampton, we are a friendly, well established first opinion practice with a highly experienced team of both vets, nurses and receptionists. Located only a short distance from the lovely New Forest and from the relaxing coast lines there is plenty to do when not at work. The equipment that we have includes a digital x-ray, a modern ultrasound machine, tonopen and full in-house laboratory equipment.

The applicant will desirably have experience with recruitment, providing HR support. IT and communication skills are required. Previous management experience, knowledge of veterinary practice preferable and experience with debt management. The candidate should be able to organise and motivate others and keep a calm head in a very fast paced environment.
