The Practice Manager will be involved in budgeting, health and safety, rota management, training and developing of the team and supporting accounts with payroll. Knowledge within human resources and recruitment would be an advantage, and we want a candidate who shows a keen interest in practice promotion using traditional and digital methods and someone who has great skills with social media.
You will work closely with all the team including the nurse management team and the four clinical directors. You will receive wider support from the Area Support Manager and Area Director. You will take a lead to advance the practice, and support and develop all team members.
This is a full-time, permanent position, working 40 hours per week working over 5 days, Monday to Friday. Some on-call for non-clinical emergency scenarios maybe required.
The salary for this role is dependent on experience, we are happy to discuss this at interview.
We are lucky enough to be situated in mid Cornwall, such that you are never far away from beautiful beaches (the famous Watergate Bay and Fistral beach are within 10-15 minute drive), stunning coastline, historic market towns and other Cornish gems. There is excellent access to the A30 and Newquay airport is a 5-minute drive away.
We are looking for a Practice Manager who has experience running a busy workplace or practice with prior managerial or leadership experience. Multi-site management would be an advantage, as well as an ability to cover a high workload. Our new practice manager will hold great communication skills, be able to coach and support our staff, as well as being able to cascade instructions clearly to the wider team.
A team player is essential, you will work closely with the management team and be transparent in your ways of working. Overall, we are looking for a positive, proactive, and supportive individual, who has excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Previous experience within the Veterinary industry would be an advantage but certainly not essential as experience in client care, people management and HR would be most beneficial for this position.
