Practice Manager – Petcare Veterinary Surgery, Erith, Kent

Here at Pet Care Veterinary Surgery we are looking for a new Practice Manager to lead and support our team. Working in partnership with the management team, you will organise and manage the day to day running of the practice, keeping our staff, clients and patients safe and happy. The successful candidate will be playing a key role in developing and promoting improvements in the business, will help maximise practice performance ensuring excellent team work to deliver a continuous high standard of customer care.

Hours can be flexible 40 hours over 4-5 days so 10 hour days or 8 hour days (this will be discussed at interview stage)

Competitive salary of up to £27,000 pa depending on experience.

About Us

Pet Care Veterinary Surgery are a well-established Small Animal Practice with wonderful, loyal clients. We pride ourselves on a very low turnover of staff and are proud to say we have very experienced Vets and nurses on the team. The surgery is well-equipped and is kept very clean and provides a happy environment in which to work. We are in Greater London, on London/Kent border and as a result has brilliant transport links.

We currently have 5 Vets (2 part time) 7 Nurses, 1 SVN, a Practice Manager, 3 Receptionists, 3 Kennel Staff and a dedicated cleaning team. 1 Vet has a GP certificate and we have visiting specialists/certificate holders (Cardiology, Ultrasonography, Orthopaedics). One of our Vets and one of our Nurses have made it to the finals of the PetPlan Annual awards. We are a training practice for Veterinary Nurses and have a nurse clinical coach.

Applicant Requirements

In line with the needs of the practice, we do require the candidate to have practice management experience, a positive can-do attitude, a willingness to support all staff and make conscious efforts to encourage all to reach their full potential. Veterinary industry experience is not required but is a benefit. We do expect you to have experience in managing customer care and be able to navigate difficult scenarios with a friendly and proactive approach.
