Here at Steffan Veterinary Services, we are looking for a Practice Manager to join our team. The role of Practice Manager is rewarding and fulfilling and interestingly unique in the veterinary industry due to the daily variety, emergencies, and unusual occurrences of the work.
We are offering a flexible role that fits within the opening hours of the practice and believe a minimum of 30 hours a week is needed to meet the demands of the job. All the usual and expected work associated with people management / HR and job performances apply to the role which is supported by an experienced Vet, Nurse and admin team within Steffan Vets as well as a wealth of information and many points of contact from IVCs leadership team. Other responsibilities include keeping lines of communication open throughout the team, client queries and complaints, business planning alongside the Clinical Directors and supporting/mitigating appropriate delegation, learning and personal development within the team.
As Practice Manager your position and input would directly affect and benefit the whole practice team and at Steffan Vets we have competent and versatile team who all offer their own interests and passions, making for an experienced and supportive environment.
The salary for this role is between £30,000 and £40,000 depending on experience.
About Us
As a true mixed animal, town centre veterinary practice the day-to-day goings on are varied. There is very little you won’t come across. Lampeter town itself has everything you would expect from a rural Welsh town and is located just 20 minutes from the famous Ceredigion coastline and boarders borders the Cambrian mountains. Ideal for outdoor pursuits and family life, there is a real community feeling. Established for over 50 years, Steffan Vets provide services for a large array of farms/ small holdings and equine/pet owners and have a strong ethos around clinical standards and team culture.
We have a team of over 24 staff each playing an integral part in the success of the practice, comprised of 10 Veterinary Surgeons, 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses and administrative and support staff. Our Head Nurse and Head Receptionist are both experienced and passionate about their work which leads to a team that is engaged, forward thinking and will undoubtedly support the successful candidate well.
