Practice Manager – Vets4Pets, Aintree, Merseyside

We are currently have a great opportunity at our Aintree Vets4Pets surgery for an experienced Practice Manager to ensure the smooth day to day running of the practice and to help develop procedures and processes to ensure a first class service to our clients.  Previous veterinary and/or management experience would be beneficial but not essential.

Aintree Vets4Pets opened in March 2011 and is a first opinion practice located inside Pets At Home on the busy Racecourse Retail Park in Aintree.  The close proximity to the M58 and M57 provides easy access to Liverpool city centre, John Lennon Airport and many other locations and attractions in the North West.

As the Practice Manager of Aintree Vets4Pets you will be required to support the Joint Venture Partner with managing the team in the practice to enable the delivery of a professional healthcare service, as well as identifying and implementing business objectives to maximise the business potential. You will have the ability to promote effective communication and ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and protocols within the practice to a consistent standard.

In this role you will demonstrate strong leadership, be a role model for the colleagues, promote the brand values and actively promote engagement within the practice team to develop a culture of mutual respect and integrity with all the colleagues.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Carrying out people related activity such as recruitment, practice meetings, colleague relations, including their training and development

Show good commercial acumen by having a good understanding of the period accounts, effectively manage the practice client debt levels and reduce the risk to the practice by resolving client complaints and promoting excellent client service.

Plan and organise the smooth day to day running of the practice, including timely preparation of the colleague rotas, effective use of the PMS system, compliance with all Health & Safety protocols, and procedures and policies.
