We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Practice Manager to join our team at Newmarket Vets4Pets. Our bright, spacious, air-conditioned surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities.
We are looking for the ideal candidate who wants to put pets first; do what they say they will do; work well as part of the team; get better every day; take pride in their work and to have fun! The successful candidate will have strong team management and organisational skills with previous experience of managing people, arranging rotas, completing colleague appraisals and setting goals, with a strong commercial understanding and proven track record of improving profit and loss of the practice. The role is Full or Part Time (minimum 30 hours per week). We would also consider some time working from home, although the majority in the practice.
This role will include the following:
Providing leadership to the team and being the point of contact between the practice and Head Office
Day to day management of the practice team including organising rotas and team training
Leading the whole team to deliver the best possible customer journey
Ensuring the team are fully updated with surgery promotions
Networking with local charities and organisations to develop working relationships
Identifying and developing marketing initiatives to attract new clients to the surgery
Ensuring regular updates are communicated to the team
Working with the nursing team to identify additional nursing opportunities such as nurse clinics
Ensuring the client database is updated and efficient at all times
Review business performance reports and identify opportunities
Inducting and training new team members
Set and review colleague performance standards
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and administration skills and a strong customer service focus. You may have worked within a retail or commercial environment, ideally with staff management and budget responsibilities looking to work with animals. You will work with a clinical team who are very passionate about our clients, therefore imperative that you appreciate what it takes to work within the veterinary sector, as part of larger Group.
