Whitstable Bay Vets is looking for a Practice Manager to join us in our lovely, modern, independent veterinary practice. We could be just what you’ve been looking for!
Whitstable Bay Vets is run by husband and wife vet team Adam and Vicky. We opened in August 2016 after years of dreaming and planning, with a tiny team of four. Every element of the practice was designed by us to make the practice as friendly, welcoming and comfortable as possible, from our beautiful wildlife garden, to the spacious car park to the airy waiting room. It was so important to us to give the practice a positive personality, a place where pet owners can feel confident bringing their much loved pets.
Whitstable is a lovely seaside town, close to the vibrant city of Canterbury, with great links to London and mainland Europe. Have a nosy at the website www.whitstablebayvets.co.uk or look us up on Facebook.
The team and culture:
Over the years we have grown to a team of six full time vets, six registered veterinary nurses, two kennel assistants and a team of eight Customer Care staff and we’ve extended the practice building! We may be biased, but we think we really stand out from the crowd. We consider our five values of happiness, community, sustainability, friendliness and integrity in everything that we do. We’re incredibly proud of our team and the way they look out for each other.
The role of the Practice Manager is to facilitate the day to day running of the practice to maintain an organised, comfortable environment where we all enjoy working, which will in turn ensure that we can deliver a comprehensive, friendly, professional service. The Practice Manager will implement the owners’ vision for taking the business forward whilst maintaining our friendly, family run ethos. If you want to be part of a team that works collaboratively to provide fantastic care to the pets of Whitstable and beyond then we would love to hear from you.
Summary of responsibilities and tasks:
No two days are ever the same here, but your day to day duties will involve management and administration tasks, Health and Safety, liaising with suppliers and service providers, cost management, building maintenance and facilitating communication within the practice. A more comprehensive list can be found in the job description attached.
Rota and salary:
This position is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Weekend working may be required on occasion for sickness/absence cover. The salary for this role is £35000 – £40000, depending on experience.
