Reception Team Leader – ICR Vets, Loanhead, Midlothian

We are currently looking for a Veterinary Reception Team Leader to join our friendly and supportive team based in Loanhead, Midlothian. This is a full-time position working 35-40 hours per week, 5 days a week. This role will mainly be based at our Loanhead although there will be the occasional need for some shifts to be worked from our other branches.

Our front of house team plays a very key role in providing gold standard client service, at what can be the happiest and saddest moments of our clients’ lives. It is important to us to have the right person to lead our team of 9 receptionists to maintain and continuously improve our standards in client care, just as we strive to constantly improve our clinical care of patients medically and surgically. Leading a team comes with its own unique challenges, and support will be provided by Practice Managers and Clinical Directors. The aim of this role is to be the person who guides and supports the receptionists, whilst maintaining appropriate levels of communication with the management team to keep improving our standards.

About Us

We are a busy 4 branch, 55 team practice on the outskirts of beautiful Edinburgh. We have a wide variety of exciting cases and animals coming through our doors which keep us all on our toes.

Applicant Requirements

Our ideal candidate will have some team management and/or previous veterinary experience. We need an excellent communicator, who loves the challenge of a busy reception desk and would like to be involved in some of the management aspects of front of house. Our receptionists are the first point of contact for our clients and their much-loved pets, so you will need to be friendly, professional, perceptive, and proactive.
Benefits for this role include 5.8 weeks holiday per year, pension, and reduced cost treatment for staff pets.

As a BAME and LGBT+ inclusive employer, we are keen to hear from candidates from all minority and diverse groups.
