Virtual Veterinary Specialists is a ground-breaking specialist-to-vet teleconsultation service. This service enables vets in practice to work-up their own cases in-house with the real-time virtual support and guidance from our team of veterinary specialists.

This service also supports practices to empower and upskill their veterinary and nursing teams whilst improving client convenience and overall satisfaction.

This role would be suitable for an individual with significant experience of veterinary practice. We are specifically looking for applicants with clinical veterinary nursing experience who feel they can bring something valuable to this role. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and patient triage skills, with a good understanding of practice workflows and the importance of excellent client and patient care. An understanding of the referral process would be a plus.
You must be able to work alone as well as being a good team player. We are looking for a motivated, self-starter able to prioritise tasks effectively and work efficiently on several projects or tasks concurrently, and someone who will be able to develop strong relationships with our partner practices.
As referral coordinator, you will act as a principal point of contact for vet practices wanting to book virtual consultations with VVS specialists. Coordination of these appointments takes place via live-chat, telephone and email. You will liaise between the VVS partner practices, the VVS specialists and the VVS management team to ensure that bookings are made quickly and efficiently. You will be the friendly, professional and approachable first port of call for our clients. The ability to remain highly efficient, organised, composed and friendly under pressure is essential.
In this role, using your extensive experience of veterinary practices, your focus will be on efficient coordination of the VVS service, working to continually develop and streamline processes. This includes the remote access/maintenance of VVS devices and equipment, such as Microsoft updates, ensuring a seamless virtual experience.
You should have strong interests in innovation and technology and be keen to use these to continually improve internal processes and the client experience. You need to be proficient with Microsoft Office. Full training and support will be provided on the use of the VVS Platform.
Although we are a virtual company with a remote-working team, VVSโs unique platform enables the entire team to work closely and collaboratively thus avoiding the need for daily commuting. However, some planned travel and attendance at industry events, to visit partner practices and company off-site events is required.
At VVS we pride ourselves on providing an exceptional service to our client practices and for providing a stimulating, supportive work environment for our team. Salary range is ยฃ26,000 to ยฃ29,000 per annum (based on applicantโs experience and qualifications) with additional company benefits such as a discretionary annual performance related bonus scheme.
This position is full-time, Monday to Friday, with shift-work between the hours of 8am and 7pm with a voluntary shared bank holiday cover rota.
