An exciting opportunity has arisen for a social media and outreach executive to join our communications team. • Measure performance, analyse results, write reports and put optimisation plans in place to achieve agreed KPIs
  • Monitor competitors and inspiration sources to report to the wider team
  • Monitor advances in social media and technology and share any interesting findings and points of interest to the wider team

Within your skillset you must:

  • Have at least one year’s experience of managing social media activity
  • Have a solid understanding of the use of a range of social media platforms
  • Be a great communicator, and be able to present plans and activity to stakeholders
  • Be a strong copywriter and be able to adapt your writing style depending on the audience and tone, conversation and content
  • Have creative skills for contributing new and innovative ideas
  • Have a working knowledge of Facebook insights and social media marketing monitoring tools
  • Have strong organisational skills, with the capacity to prioritise work across multiple projects
  • Be someone who has a great grasp of grammar and written English and really pays attention to detail
  • Be highly numerate and keen to understand the metrics and trends in what you are doing so you can run tests and refocus campaigns when required

It would be a bonus if you had:

  • Experience of paid social media and day-to-day optimisation
  • Experience of creating social acquisition and engagement campaigns
  • Online community management and customer service experience
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, Adobe Photoshop, Google Analytics

  • Death in service of two times annual salary

What you can expect

This is a 12-month contract position for 37.5 hours a week that sits within the marketing team at Vets Now
