Veterinary Locum Coordinator – Wanstead Vet Hospital, Goddard, East London

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced administrator to coordinate the locum requirements at our Wanstead Veterinary Hospital in East London and its surrounding clinics.

Do you have strong organisational and administrative skills needed for this wide and varied role? Do you have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a positive and solution-focused attitude? If this sounds like you, this is an exciting opportunity to grow and develop these skills with the support of a large veterinary group.

The role covers all aspects of locum and float colleague coordination and requires excellent attention to detail. You will part of the Personnel and Development team and will work closely with the regional and hospital managers to deliver a professional and coordinated service at all times.

Previous experience in rota management in a veterinary environment would be highly advantageous. This is a full-time role however there is some flexibility around the hours. The role will mainly be based at our Head Office at Claygate House in Woodford Green but there is the potential for some remote working once you have become established in the role.

Goddard Veterinary Group is a family-run practice and was started in 1952 by Arthur Goddard. His son Philip took over the reins in the late 90s and remains the practice principal. We are now the largest family-run veterinary practice in the UK and have 44 branches, 3 hospitals, and our own nursing college. We have a great reputation for looking after our staff; over 20% of our team have been with us 10 years or more and we are proud of our many 5-star reviews on Indeed and Glassdoor.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a generous salary and CPD allowance. We offer an excellent benefits package including increasing holiday allowance, enrolment on to our Simplyhealth Plan which provides cashback on many routine medical costs such as dental care, physiotherapy, optician, chiropractor fees, etc. plus generous shopping and leisure discounts, fully funded CPD, and a 24- hour Employee Assistance Programme.
