The School of Veterinary Medicine follows a distributed model for final year teaching and we are actively partnered with leading veterinary practices and local research institutes whose clinicians and scientists participate in teaching throughout the undergraduate curriculum
The School of Veterinary Medicine is seeking to recruit a proactive individual as Veterinary Partnerships and Animal Resources Manager. This exciting role would be ideally suited to a veterinary nurse, or practice manager wanting to develop a career in administration and management, whilst remaining within the veterinary industry. We would also welcome candidates with significant experience in administering and supporting veterinary placements.
This is a new role in the School which recognises the needs of our growing network of veterinary practices and off-site teaching facilities. The successful candidate will administer aspects of audit, quality assurance and health and safety of students undertaking placements with our educational partners outside the university. The post-holder will report to the Head of Veterinary Partnerships and Animal Resources, helping to ensure that the School’s educational resources meet the quality standards of relevant professional bodies.
We seek an individual with excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills and a willingness to work with colleagues and external partners to deliver high quality veterinary educational resources; with this in mind, occasional travel to partner organisations locally and throughout the UK will be required. Applicants must have broad knowledge or experience of UK veterinary practice.
