Suicide Prevention:  RCVS standards and support for practice leaders

  • 25th August
  • 12.00

Microburst overview:

In this microburst session we are joined by Dr Alice Duvernois BVetMed MRCVS, the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme Lead Assessor. Alice has spent over two decades working in veterinary practice, leadership and quality improvement. Having worked as a veterinary surgeon, senior clinician and director of clinical services before joining the RCVS 8 years ago, she brings both practical practice experience and Practice Standards Scheme’s (PSS) perspective. Alice now leads the assessment team responsible for supporting and assessing veterinary practices through the PSS accreditation, helping teams across the UK demonstrate and continuously improve standards of regulatory compliance, patient care, clinical governance and quality improvement.

This microburst will cover the new PSS Suicide Prevention Standard and what it means, the new RCVS resources available to support practice leaders. We’ll also cover some simple, practical ways to meet the standard in everyday practices.

The webinar will be 20 minutes with the chance to ask questions at the end.
