In Dec 2017 Gillian led the sale of Ayrton to Independent Vetcare Ltd and she stayed with the practice as Business Director until January 2021.

She has interests in clinical workflow, leadership and practice standards – creating, implementing and maintaining protocols and working processes – believing that structure and standardisation in practice can help a business achieve quality assurance and professional confidence. She obtained the European School of Veterinary Post Graduate Studies (ESVPS) Certificate in Business & Professional Skills (Cert B&PS) in 2011.
