VPAC
The Veterinary Practice Administration Certificate is designed for those newer to management or wanting to move from a clinical or customer service role into branch or practice management. The aim is to ensure that VPAC holders have the skills necessary for an administrative role in any veterinary practice with minimal supervision. If you have responsibility for managing staff, and/or strategy and planning, you might prefer to explore our industry-standard Award, Certificate and Diploma in Veterinary Leadership & Management.
The VPAC course
The VPAC is a distance learning course run by Lynwood School of Veterinary Nursing. Completion is expected to take around 12 – 18 months; depending on the amount of time you have available to dedicate to your studies. Intakes are in September and April each year.
Matthew Horobin, Chair of the VMG’s Certification & Training Committee, said, “In this ever-changing world, we are more in need now of well-skilled and knowledgeable administrative team members that can contribute effectively to the day to day running of our practices.
“The VPAC syllabus helps support and nurture our administrative teams to not only further support their practices, but to help build their own careers within the veterinary industry, right through to practice management level. Many student nurses also study for it as part of their degree qualification.
“Working with Lynwood has allowed us to develop a varied and interesting programme that is popular with delegates. I look forward to the future successes of our VPAC holders, knowing that they have a solid foundation of learning underneath them.”
